ContactPro is an easy-to-use email marketing service that really just fell behind the curve. What really hurt this service is the lack of some features and only offers average reporting functions.
Some beneficial features include unlimited surveys, conversion tracking and automatically adding unsubscribe links. However, this is where the good stuff ends.
ContactPro will detect duplicate contacts but would not delete them. They don’t include a SPAM test or the ability to create aliases. We also found they intend to include scheduled blasts but feature was unavailable when we tried to test it. Also, ContacPro did not automatically delete addresses that opted to unsubscribe.
The campaign builder includes a wizard that will walk you through most of the creation process. You can import your own HTML or use one of ContactPro’s templates. ContactPro only offers 11 templates. We suggesting using your own.
The HTML editor included with ContactPro was took a little to get used to. We really liked that you could build and use an unlimited number of surveys and place them in your campaigns. For the most part ContactPro’s HTML editor is really easy to use, but to change things like colors, fonts and headings we needed to manipulate the hard code manually. This would be really daunting to the novice user. ContactPro does not support Unicode or international languages, but with a background in HTML you can do just about anything you want with the editor.
ContactPro includes enough reports to get you through your marketing meetings like click-throughs, conversions, bounced, opened, forwarded emails and more. However, we couldn’t find a way to compare campaigns, nor does Contact Pro integrate with Google Analytics.
ContactPro includes a comprehensive They have a great list of searchable help files located along the left navigation that will discuss just about every aspect of ContactPro’s services. They also include an email address, live chat and phone number to contact the company. However, we would like to see them really beef up their additional articles and resources.
