Feature Set:  

StreamSend has a central dashboard that summarizes your campaign activity. You can monitor which campaigns are scheduled, your quota and how many complaints you’ve received.

StreamSend has something called "filters." With triggers, you can define criteria and then the service will email only to the contacts that meet this criteria. This is an excellent way to target specific members on your list.

Some practical features the service lacks include: adding sound files to your email messages, running a SPAM test and creating alias accounts to display in the "from" field of your bulk emails. 

Ease of Use:  

The entire setup process is simple and quick. You can create multiple emailing lists and import all your emails very quickly. Other setup options are organized neatly in the top bar of the screen.

However, we found modifying the template to be more difficult than our top services. Changing simple things like color and background became a chore. We were unable to find documentation within the system to address this issue.

Email Campaign Creation:  

Once you have a basic design, use the HTML editor to add images and links. This program will also let you view the HTML source code of the message so you can modify it how you want. You can also create opt-in web forms and host your images on their server.

You have several options during the creation process, all of which are easy to understand and beneficial. You can choose to create your own email from scratch, import it or create it from a pre-made template. StreamSend will add a footer to your email, easily insert lines, tables, hyperlinks and images and more.

Campaign Reporting:  

StreamSend includes many of the reports you’d expect to see in a solid email marketing service including click-through tracking, bounced, sent, forwarded and unsubscribed emails.

You can't track conversations or tell where your customers go while reviewing your email campaign.

We liked that StreamSend has the ability to integrate with Google Analytics. Just about any reports StreamSend doesn’t offer in-house Google should be able to cover.

Help/Support:  

We are disappointed with StreamSend’s help and support section. Although the provide a knowledgebase it seemed there wasn’t that much information available. Additionally, when you submit a support ticket you have to fill out your complaint or question twice. This service would be far more efficient if they offered live support.

However, they do have a few flash tutorials that are helpful if you are utilizing the Google Analytics feature.

StreamSend's filter feature will help you target specific members of your emailing list so you can maximize your marketing strategies. Though it doesn't offer as many reports as the higher-ranked products and the HTML editor is temperamental the Google Analytics feature is very useful.
